MaxFund's Chili Cook-off is Back!

New this year is our relocation of the chili cook-off to Jackson's LoDo, located in Denver's lower downtown, at 1520 20th St, 80202. We're excited to have Jackson's LoDo host our ever-growing annual chili cook-off!

It's easy to become a Chili Taster/Judge of the chilis. Click Here to Get Registered today, and plan to come out and sample chilis made by fellow Colorado chili enthusiasts! Chili taster/judges 12 and under have a reduced ticket price. Also, you save $5 per person by purchasing tickets here, in advance. Online registration is $10 per adult and $5.00 per child 12 and younger.

When you check in at the event, you will be given a wrist band and a ballot. Sample the chilis at the event, mark your favorites, and stay for the winners to be announced!

Don't forget to enter to win fantastic door prize drawings, purchase MaxFund t-shirts or other items, and the MaxFund Adoption Van will be there with lots of available animals to meet!

Got Cooking Skills?

Show off your talent as a Chili Chef, offering RedGreenWhite, or Vegetarian Chili. Click Here to register under which chili (or chilis!) you'd like to bring.

Are you a local restaurant chef and/or chef associated with a food-related business wanting to enter the cook-off? Register as a Celebrity Chef, and you could win prizes in that category!

Do you specialize in more than one chili? Bring them all! ($30 per entry).

Here are some things to keep in mind as a Chili Cook-off Chef. PLEASE READ:

All chili registrants should plan to bring a minimum of two gallons (8 quarts) of each chili entered. The more you bring, the more people can try it. The more people that can try it, the greater chance of you winning prizes! Also, consider bringing "extras" to your chili station. Would your chili be even better with fresh onions, cheese, or hot sauce? Plan to have them there for your tasters!

2 oz tasting bowls, spoons and naptkins will be provided at each tasting station. Chili can arrive in crock pots, however electricity is not available, and chili must be poured into a large chafing dish. Click Here for a link to a large chafing dish kit available on Amazon. Please purchase a large disposable chafing dish kit for use at this event, or we will happily provide you with the kit for $10.00 on the day of the event, when you arrive at Jackson's LoDo. Note that the Amazon kit comes with serving spoons. Ours do not, so bring your own serving spoons or ladles if you plan to purchase a chafing dish at the event.

CHEFS CAN ARRIVE FOR SETUP ANYTIME BETWEEN 11AM AND 12PM

PARKING: $8 for the day in the lot on the WEST side of Jackson's. Same parking lot as last year's event.
